Aside from Facebook, which is the number one social networking site that is being used by almost a hundred percent of the population, Arnon Dror says that there is Pinterest. Undoubtedly, this place is a safe haven for women and this actually brings a huge traffic to blogs and businesses depending on how it is being used by bloggers and business owners.
What is Pinterest?
Pinterest is a web and mobile application company that is designed to discover information using images, GIFs, and videos. Arnon Dror says that it was founded by Ben Silbermann, Paul Sciarra and Evan Sharp. As of October 2018, it has reached 250 million monthly active users according to Wikipedia.
The 22% of users are aged between 18 and 29, while 36% of them are 30 and 49, the remaining users are aged above 65 years – which is only a small portion of a hundred.
If you are familiar with Pinterest, it is distinguished that this platform is well known to the younger generations. A majority of people that are using Pinterest are women bloggers, travelers, homeschooling and stay-at-home parents, artists, and mostly introverts but has a business that needs pinning.
Pinterest is like a board at home only that it is virtual and the virtual world can definitely access it. According to Arnon Dror, the best part of using this application is that you can customize your graphics that you will be pinning and link it onto your blog post or a certain product that you want people to get so you can have a commission.
How to Win in Pinterest?
1. Never forget to add descriptions to your pins: put a brief description of your product if you are selling an item or describe what is the topic all about if you are pinning a blog post.
2. Create different boards: you can have a DIY board, a freelancing board, homeschooling board, all about music board, etc. Be sure to have them updated twice a week or once a week. Have a fixed schedule that can definitely keep the account active.
3. Use various hashtags: be careful of the hashtag you are going to use. It needs to be precise and related to the image or video you are trying to pin on your board. Avoid unnecessary hashtags that are obviously not related to the pin.
